THE DREAMS OF NORTIA
Remember as you descend into the dim recess of your subconscious - that all creatures - all forms of the imagination that you see...are expressions of your own psyche.

"Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives."
What is the Dream of nortia? Like all Dreams it is a place of imagination, contradiction, insight, and adventure. It is a place where visitors from other realms can enter and play out roles and scenes that might never be available or considered in their usual worlds of role-play. It is understood, and often beneficial that different realms keep to their expressed themes and structures. But in the Dream, for a one time scenario or a story progression, the player is invited to stretch their character and storytelling to the limit, do things impossible and unimaginable in their former realms. Non shape-shifters can do just that. Warriors can become lovers. Enemies can be friends The dark can see the light. The dead can talk to the living. The lowly can have power. Time, place, rationality, are all variable. And characters from different realms…different universes…can at least for awhile…within the play of nortia’s Dream…join in an adventure! Come alone / With another player from your realm / Start your own story, join one in progress, or create as you go along with who you find there. After all - it is a dream world! Currently there are 5 rooms within the Shrine - the entrance to the Dream. How do you get there? Simply put your character to bed in their own realm…and enter:

When we fantasize - we control our own imagination. We lose ourselves to the enjoyment of forbidden thoughts and desires

"Once upon a time, I, Chuang Tzu, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of following my fancies as a butterfly, and was unconscious of my individuality as a man. Suddenly, I awoke, and there I lay, myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a man dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming that I am now a man."
