Surrounded by thick walls
walls built to
protect
translucent...walls of glass bricks
allowing the light to shine
through
distorting the image of what they guard
Surrounded by strong walls
walls designed to keep the hurt
out
sturdy...walls others lean on
slowly another layer of bricks is
laid
offering support for those who need
But the walls are not as strong
as they appear at first glance
there
is no mortar holding them in place
easily dismantled, these walls can
be
if only You take the time to see
One by one You take down the glass bricks
Your face betraying Your
surprise
a task seemingly daunting, not so
revealing the softness behind
the wall
the core within Your reach
Please take good care of them as You do
while strong, they are
fragile
not unlike the woman behind them...
and i might need the glass bricks someday
i might need to build the
walls again
